PROBLEM
Kentucky has long been a cradle of American music, yet much of its rich musical heritage remained underrepresented in a cohesive, engaging way. While individual venues and festivals celebrated Bluegrass, Country, and Appalachian music, there was no singular, accessible platform that connected music lovers, travelers, and locals to the broader cultural narrative. The challenge was to craft a compelling brand and digital presence that not only honored Kentucky’s deep-rooted musical traditions but also positioned the Kentucky Music Trail as a must-visit experience for those seeking an authentic connection to the state’s sound and soul.

SOLUTION
During my time at Prolific Digital, I led the development of a bold, immersive brand identity for the Kentucky Music Trail—one that captures the raw energy of live music, the nostalgia of hand-pressed show posters, and the rich storytelling of Kentucky’s musical history. The website serves as the digital heart of the initiative, offering interactive maps, curated itineraries, and engaging narratives that bring the trail to life. Through branding, copywriting, website development, ad campaigns, and a cinematic commercial, we built a multi-channel experience that invites visitors to discover the places, sounds, and stories that define Kentucky’s music scene.
